Description:

Went to the officers club after checking out perkins and not seeing anything great. I am still in shock at how great the locals are here! After surfing in Hawaii for years and only being talked to after you prove yourself repeatedly at the same breaks the fact that everyone is so social and helpful in Florida amazes me.

The waves were a good waist high with the rare chest high set and a lot of fun. As what seems like the norm the dawn patrol consisted of less than five of us, but by 730 there were about thirty surfers in the water with another ten or so on the beach. Everyone shared the aloha and seemed to be having a great morning of it. We even had two pods of dolphins cruise through the outer break coming within 3 meters of the line up. All in all it was what is rapidly beginning to be an average day on the space coast.
