Drive 5 minutes north from Kent, at the Southern end of the Freetown Peninsula, or a few hours south of Freetown, depending on the conditions of the road. Turn left at Burreh and head to the beach on the right hand side. Waves break off of the river-mouth.

Información adicional
Due to the usual afternoon wind, its best in the morning and late evening. The drive back to Freetown can be hairy after dark even if you take the mountain road, so mornings are the go. The swell seems to wrap into Bureh from the S/SW direction and all other directions make it section more.
The main wave is a long left that, when working well, walls up really nicely. At larger sizes there are barrels to be had. There is a right on med/high tide, but it is shorter and weaker than the left. Also further down the beach on a stormy swell there is a shortdumpy wave that can be great fun, but heavy.
Be nice to the local surfer kids. They are pretty good. Francis can even surf switchfoot. Prince and his guys can cook you up the freshest fish - be sure to order before you hit the water though as it can take some time to prepare. He also has a couple of boards to rent for cheap. Also, dont ignore old Moosa, the coconut man, he sells them for $1 and that is his only income.
Great vibe and can have great waves. It is pretty consistent and almost always has some sort of surfable wave. If you are in Freetown, this is the place to go for surf.

Ambiente
Prince and two young kids are the only local surfers in the area although I was told two French guys have been living and surfing there. Prince is a super nice guy. His friend Moustapha will cook up a lip-smacking barracuda lunch while you surf.

General
The spot has potential. Prince claims it gets really fun. I surfed it once in March and it was small and blown out but I was told it is better in the rainy season.
