Surf Board Rentals / Spots - Aloha, I am going to Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora on my honeymoon in February. Just like everyone else, Im looking for advice on places that are reasonable to rent boards, and to find out where the good shore breaks are that are close to our hotels. We'll be staying at the Intercontiental Resort Tahiti, Intercontiental Resort Moorea, and the Le Meridien Bora Bora. Mahalo!

Surf in Moorea - Heading to Moorea in early October, would like to know everyone's choice of board size for this time of year. From the looks of it, there isn't much surf inside of a 20 min paddle with the risk of exhaustion from fighting the currents..is this true?
Any help would be appreciated.

- My Dad is French and lives in moorea. I can't wait to visit him. I lived in Kauai for a year and had to move back for college. How are the lefts on Moorea? Do they not like Americans there? Are the waves very locolized?

Surf in Bora Bora - I am going to Bora Bora and was wondering if there is any way to surf while staying on this island. Would be willing to rent a boat - but is it possible to have a day surf trip from this isalnd. Thanks

Boat rentals... - Hi everybody!!!
I am a brazilian surfer who is getting to Moorea in late august. I already know the reefs good for surfing, but as far as I could see, we still need a boat for the majority of them.
How much does it cost?

Buy a board in Tahiti? - Am going over for my honeymoon to Moorea. Wondering if I should buy a board in Tahiti, and sell it before I leave. Thought it would be easier than toting it from florida and being charged on every flight.

Any advice would help.Thanks.

The North Coast goes off - Just came back from a 2 month stay in Moorea. Epic surf, friendly locals. Be careful of the current at Beachcomber.....don't paddle out alone. High tide will suck you out to sea. Was there when a North West rolled through......the north coast goes off. Bring your A game.

is there anywhere i can paddle out easily? - going to moorea next thursday and i dont know wether its worth the hassle to take my boards as i dont have that much cash to pay greedy locals shit loads to take me out to the reefs and if theres crowds whats the point,i can walk to newport beach in sydney where its good surf and i dont have to pay to get out there.how much do they charge anyway to take you out.

Haapiti - Just got back from Moorea and Bora Bora . . Haapiti was cranking!.. .Glen was correct . .can be very challenging. ..stay in Haapiti to score a boat ride out. ..the surf camps are the best bets. they have boats . . .very imp. because...if the water is moving out through the pass. ..can be a long paddle back in . ..when you have weenie arms. .. The days of finding a guy to take you out for $10 are gone. ..one guy wanted $180 an hour to take you out by boat. ..yeah, right.

If you have extra dough. . .check out the Sheraton Moorea. ..wow!
