- love it here... my local spot now... great bunch of lads surf here. good vibe in the water most of the time. apart from the wannabe surfing emmits that clog up the inside by the masses in the summer months. try out the high tide kamakaze wave at the slipway between the boulders...

Kayakers? - Where on those thigs called Waveskis mate, Not kayaks. I dont see why theres all this shit over a spot. And just cause where on Waveskis it doesnt mean we have no right to the waves mate. I will always pull out if a surfer or anything else is inside of me and has the right to that wave.

damn kayakers - westward hos awesome and is normally uncrowded and a fun wave those damn kayakers are always dropping in on people though, it was only a matter of time before sumthing bad like that happened it sucks!

anyone got video footage from desert point summer 2004? - Just on the off chance that the right guys will read this note: in the summer of 2004 I was on a boat trip that left from Bali and went via Nusa Lembongan, Lombok and Sumbawa. Our boat was on the same schedule as another boat and we ended up surfing with the same guys often. I think either one or two of the guys on the other boat were from westward ho! (I am also from Devon). On the last day of our trip both of our boats turned up at deserts and got some pretty good waves. I remember one of the westward ho! Guys saying that he had some video footage of bits of that session. If this is the case, I would really like to see the footage. Please leave a note on this website so I can get back to you. Dime.

Learner Heaven - Westward Ho! is one of the best beaches in the whole of the U.K for learning to surf. It's mellow, loads of space and zero hassle. No parking worrries, no rips it's just an all round good mellow beach.

300 ft and a tiny semi on... - jesus man i saw a 300 foot wave at the ho the other thursday, i nearly fell off me bar stool! my wife got her boob stuck up her own throut she was so scared. I think you should only go out at the ho if your wearing a hard hat. like those renagades from croyde, those wacky buggers! give um a burger if you see um (their ill)

nice!! - i love this place. it quiet and clean, never had any hastle from anyone and everyone seems to chat wich is nice. im still not to clued up on good waves and bad, but people say that its gutless but heh! if it gets my fat ass moveing its alright with me
