Surf trip description:

It is important that you study Highway Code properly before appearing for the theory test. The DVSA or Driver & Vehicle Agency publishes a vast range of learning materials every year to help you clear the theory test. These reading materials are easily available at the bookstore or even online. Here in this article, we are going to discuss about things to help you prepare for the test.

  1. Types of questions paper - There won’t be physical question paper but your questions will appear on the computer screen. There will be 50 multiple-choice questions, which you will have to answer in 57 minutes. The minimum score to pass this test is 43. The questions in the test will vary from car drivers to motorbike riders.

  1. Materials to read - These materials are basically called, as Highway Code and they are extremely important to clear the test.  A majority of the rules mentioned in the code are legal requirements. Breaking those rules or disobeying them is nothing less than a criminal act. Thus, you need to be well versed with these codes in order to score in the theory test.

  1. Key traffic signs - Mastering the meaning of different traffic signs is an important trick to clear the theory test. You can even book theory test in order to learn about the key traffic signs. The basic three traffic signs are: sign of warning, sign or giving orders, sign of giving information. Each of these signs has different shapes.

  1. Preparing it right - You can either book for a test to practice or study background information pertaining to every topic. It is important that you appear for mock tests before appearing for the actual one. This will give you an idea about the types of questions, whether you are able to answer those in the given timeframe and more.

  1. How much to score in the test - You can score 5 points at max for each developing hazard. These hazards can be responded by pressing the mouse. The key is to recognize the hazard as early as possible. The earlier to notice a hazard, higher is your chance to score.

  1. Reviewing the answer - This is the tricky one. You will not be able to review your answers to hazard test. Therefore, choose your answer carefully while clicking the mouse. You will be given 14 clips to watch in the hazard test. Don’t make the mistake of clicking continuously on the hazard as that will lead to zero score. The minimum you need to score in hazard test is 44 out of 75 whereas, 43 out of 50 in multiple-choice test. The score is same for both car drivers and motorbike riders. However, the questions may vary.

Practice and right approach to learn is the key to crack any exam. This test also requires a thorough practice and learning. Enroll for a practice session at a nearby theory test center. Prepare well in advance.
