dalian surf? - Glad I didnt listen to the poster no surf in china (what a load of b$%^&).
Went to Hainan scored some really good waves on the week I was there.
I have to move to dandong province from UK in 5 years or so I was worried that swell would only reach as far as Qingdao and I would have to bin surfing and take up kite or windsurfing , can anyone confirm if there is even rare surf here?

help - please can i have more info about surfing in china. im staying in beijing and i really want to go surfing this coming holidays. i have my short board with me and im ready to go for a trip. so any one intrested to go??

Dalian - where are these places in dalian? just last week we saw a typhoon system head north up the cost of china resulting in some good swell reaching dalian golden pebble beach. a good steady rh break down dalian (west) end of the beach beneath the golf course.
does anyone know of some good "sandy" beach areas around dalian, the islands offshore, or liaoning province for kitesurfing?

Where in Dalian? - Which direction from Dalian did you go and see that nice spot? Because the coast line curves there, let's say, when hit the beach did you go left or right?

Dalian - I am in Dalian, just been to a place with regular sets, nice breaks. I have no board with me, probably heavy rocks, but th waves lookes great...
Place is a very touristic commercial fake town at the end of Dalian above ground metro...quit q long way to get there..take a bus and step off by the great rock...
Gonna check othr4 beaches in Dalian to;;orow...
Is there surf close to Beijing ( 4 hours to th beach)???????

Forget about Yantai - No way to have swell in yantai. Even during winter when the winds are north, you'll enjoy a max. 30cm windswell (No fetch) with -10°c in the air. "Near Apec" ? The Asian conference for trade...
