Lets give ye a BIG round of applause! - Are you locals trying to promote the beach? Seems like it caus you love making noise about it! I'll be doing ye all a favour and talking it up on other sites like Beachwizard. Should have plenty more visitors in the near future. Me and my buddies surf close(ish), it's much better, but never any agro and therefore not talked about so it's uncrowded. And ye are drawing even more people away from it daily ... Thanks Guys!

bunch of fags - reading this crap that so called locals have put in here makes me sick...what a bunch of fags, isn't it always the way, the faghags who sit on the shoulder always have the most to say...so worried about sharing waves they can't catch!!!

Locals, stand up and be respected - Have any of you locals ever surfed a wave other than Banna strand? Did you feel like you at least deserved the right to give it a dig, once you respected the rules and gave priority to locals there? What would surfing be without surf travel to warm water and the best days of your life with buddies in hollow tubes? You did not earn the right to exclusively own that wave by being born there any more than the companies buying waves in Indo. You did however earn the right to priority on that wave by surfing it all your life.If you want to police the line-up you should show a bit of courage and act like the Wolf Pak in Hawaii or The Bra boys in Maroubra. Let others surf there, make sure your boys get the best waves by blocking. If visitors show disrespect or act like kooks, send them in. If they don't go in, punch them out!At the moment people are just laughing at your attitude. If you want true respect, act like men, not spoiled boys.

and another thing mr. history book... - and another thing you "Don't go standing on the moral high-ground when you don't know what you're talking about" numb skull. since when has it been a great idea to share everything with everyone? they didn't work for it. they didn't search for it. the don't respect it.they don't deserve it. with your kind of approach you can turn up at any spot, surf it and disappear. you neednt make the effort to befriend locals to find out where to go. you needn't show any respect. why would you bother? the guys ive seen get the best waves are the ones who turn up on they're own with a map in one hand and a ball o questions in the other. this internet approach to surfing is unsocial. i mean, do you consider every "true" surfer to be a nice guy with a great attitude towards everyone?? it sound like you do, but unfortunately matey that's not the way it is. there are alot o assholes out there who, when they don't have to work for something they show it no respect. think about it- if you gave the average guy a free car every day he would eventually start sellin them. he might even smash a few up in a derby. fact is there'd be a few he'd like and the rest wouldn't mean shit to him. why would he? he didnt pay for them. they cost him nothin. no effort- JACK... so is this how you prize surf spots? is this how you share the stoke? by sayin "here it is on the map" to every tom, DICK, and harry on the planet? and all they gotta do is turn up not talk to or even acknowledge the locals?? i dunno man, your attitude is like the common denominator- lets give everybody a shot and think about it later. i think it's great to see surfing progress, it's great to see new surfers in the water but its a shame to have no respect. and you can't respect wat you didn't work for. next time you talk about morals have some of your own and not the all-inclusive-common-denominator set of morals you bought on e-bay.

so andy knows some history?? - truthfully- yes, the hawaiians gave us surfing pretty much as we know it to day. duke was a legend- yes. he brought the sport to europe, australia and the states and God knows where else. and yes, we'd all be still 'chasing sheep' here in ireland if it wasn't for that. you're a genius! did you come up with all that on your own? brilliant! you should write a letter to SURFER but i can just imagine DUKE setting up a website or perhaps the equal of this at the time might have been a newspaper. and off he'd go telling every surfer in the world about his and his friends local and quiet spots. c'mon- in all fairness he'd a been shot. promoting surfing is one thing and being one of the worlds greatest embassadors for the sport is another but this site makes it all just a bit too easy. where's the challenge? it's all laid out for us. there's no search, there's no experience.'in an apparently useless endeavor, i have devoted my energies and thoughts to warn the unenlightened of the plight of the times. now, the hardened lifeguards, the oldies but uglies, and the thousands of other plebeian fruit flies that compose the alleged surfing sub-sub-culture are forcing me to seek greener pasture......individuals must no longer complain of oppressive conditions, they are obliged by their conscience to actively seek a better life. a renaissance of the original pioneering of surfing must force discovery of new breaks and unexplored coasts of other continents...darwins theory of survival of the fittest is once again the rule of the game.' that was Mickey Dora in 1969. whats happening now is a new form of the same thing except in 1969 it was a regional problem. in 2005 with communications and the internet it is a global problem. pretty soon there will be no secret spots. there will be no places of seclusion. nowhere to go or treasure. a worldwide surfing mono-culture. yaaaaaaaaieeee! i think that's great- dont't you?
