Beware of the locals - Don't drop in on the locals. Some crazy ass dudes in there. Seen so much violence. Slashed tires and broken windows are common. Not worth it.

Not on the map - Faro is located at central south algave coast, and is "not on the map" in the Sines area. This spot should be placed in the algave section.

ok, nothing special - This place is ok. It's nothing to write home about and suffers from the wind but there is plenty of room and it's very easy to access. Forget Praia d'rocha, it is rubbish.

some good spots for summer - Are there in faro any waves in agost? I want to go on hollydays to algarve but I don´t know were. I've got a good level but i'm not an expert. if you can help me please give me some advice. Thanks.

Surfing in Faro - This place is sweet if you're a beginner, But If you're looking for some bigger surf head down to the west coast.
Sagres is pretty consistent so check it out!

Under your nose - I used to live her about ten years ago (the banks have probably changed). When it's on her, it's great. I only realised the waves could get so good here when watching the portuguese national championships. Solid Six foot and very long rides it is a session that will stay in my memory forever. Drive all the way down to the water and turn left. The swell can wrap around so it can look flat from a far but once your down there you could be surprised... I was.
