- from may to september the sea is flat in conil,if you want to surf the session is from october to april.

accommodation? - Anyone knows good accommodation in Conil?

conil in the summer - I'm no surfer, but i think the waves are quite alright for beginners in conil.
There is a school for kite surfing at the main beach, and the beach itself is quite large and not really crowded. A ten minute walk is all it takes to get to a nice spot from the main beach. Besides there are a few nice small bays which are more isolated, easy to reach if you have a car.
The nightlife here is a big plus for conil, many nice bars and clubs, a bit touristic but most if the tourists are from spain, not the common german or british annoying ones if u know what i mean...
There is a nice little language school, the academia atlantika, you can learn spanish here, also english, and they also rent out apartments.
I am currently in Conil, its my third time already, and most people who have been here come again.

beginners will be stoked - been here a week,el palmar and conil waves have been good clean 3 to 6 foot,great conditions for beginners like myself,met traveling oz and brit surfers all sharing the stoke of mother ocean.....

waves in june? - i'm a beginner and wanted to surf there at the end of may/beginning of june, so how are the waves in june in conil and is it crowded at this time? are there any cheap surfshops where i can rent a board and neoprene suit? and i heard of a problem there with lifeguards...is something true about it?

local surfers, surfers, no surfers ??? - today morning conil beach was headhigh, offshore and nearly perfect. i surfed it alone for an hour or so, then one other guy paddled in but he was the only other surfer i saw whole day. i mean where are all surfers in conil or are everyone surfing el palmar. not that í would complain about surfing such a perfection with no crowds but just became curious...

cakes - theres a quality cake shop on your way through the town!!! drive down to the beach and turn right. carry on until you get to the car park at the end. There should be a right hander breaking off a ridge on the coastline.... submerged rock i think????
