hi its jamie again - the man who said the waves arnt scary is a lyer. i started to cry on march 2nd. the waves were very big, about 4ft. my mummy makes me were a nappy under my wetsuit now, just incase the waves are big again!. i would love more people to come to alderney esspecially more big strong men, i like men with muscles like the men out of bay watch. me and my budy andy have been practissing. and we are the best surfers on the island. ok bye xxx

good surf at the moment - yeh the two guys on the top are girls! but over christmas the surf had been really good, boxing day was great. u wont get great surf but you should just experience what the island provides. the waves aint scarey really, they are just trying to stop you coming! ha not, sorry guys. but yeh just coem and give it a go.

Other breaks - Try around Clonque for reef breaks, not for the amateurs though.

Longy is suitable for longboards on a very big swell.

Falling tides are usually better, as the flood tide tends to flatten the swell.

Not a place to go out of your way for unless you like angling and drinking, then its the best palce in Britain for this - enjoy.

CORBLETS BAY[ ANDREW MALOY] - hi i'm andy i'v been a surfer in alderney for five years. i think alderney is a lovely place and i hope more people come to alderney to surf. everyone says i'm a big girl because i get scared off the big waves.the only reason for that is because i went out to the big waves once and i stated to cry!. but i'm learnding to go to the big waves. then the bigger boys wont laugh at me that will show them.

alderney,corblets bay - i think corblets is a lovely beach and during september and december you get some great waves. sometimes they get to big and i get scared. i'v been surfing in alderney for about two years. its not the best place to start surfing because the waves dont always break clean but you get the god days. i think alderney should get a artifical reef but i dont think everyone will agree.

Corblets,Alderney - It is a sandy beach wot iz well cool to surf it but u have to be skilled like me and not crap. I have been surfin this Beach break 4 15 yrs. That is me on da bodyboard i think i am very skilled becose i is a pro init

- i spent a summer working over there before i started surfing.i have been surfing 5 years now and im thinking about visiting again.is it worth bringing a board.also do any of the other beaches get surf.is there any reefs.

corblets alderney - Beautiful beach on a lovely island.Not much surf in the summer but my brother lives on Alderney and he tells me it sometimes gets very big in the winter.The first pictures are of me surfing Corblets 15 years ago.

Local opinion. - There has been an increase in surfers/bodyboarders on alderney, but there are still only a handfull of dedicated riders on the island. So no busy line ups!

Most of the time, Corblets is simply a closeout, with a very short ride sometimes available if youre lucky. Theres usually some big winter swells October to mid December which often bring a neat little beach break. Never a particularly long ride though, and seldom hollows out. The rest of the year its luck of the draw really, if theres a storm, you could get some nice waves.

If not, enjoy the bars, theres plenty of em!
