Maybe it's just me... - ... but I talk to everyone when I'm out. Some fella I don't know pulls a big floater infront of me... I give hime a big fat thumbs up! We need to be nicer to each other. I've yet to see hostility solve anything... We're not fuckin skaters! (well some of us are but you know what I mean). Take a look at the up-coming mountainboarding scene. As things should be! PS Love this spot but haven't been here in an age!

summer - 6 to 8 ft perfection in winter - 4 people out. 2ft glass in summer 30 people out. Visiting surfers ie standups seem to have a real disrespect of the set up here. Do not obstruct the farm road, there are signs! Also rolling up with large vans/4wds full of people is not good. If you want to go for a surf with 5 mates and spread yourselves around the place with boards, bags and loudmouthness then I'd suggest Polzeath/Bude or Newquay you'll fit in nicely and be more than welcome. Think on.

the billabong of ill omen - Janimal, yee hath truly repented and speeketh sense at last. But yee must understandeth the coperate ways of the evileth subdefuge, the dark billabong. Valued at 3 billion mamouth skulls in the year 2005 AD, they now hath to staisfy the lust and debortuary of their evil share holdereth. How yee may ask? the modus operandi being the recruiting of a dark and evil underbelly of the london and the manchester and the birmingham. How will yee say the truth, surfing be eth cool, like the slaying of a dragon, why do we correspond with the dark overlord wannasurf? why is this evill influencer of information sharoing here? thanks to sir chaveth and his loyal band of falus's that stride forth into the sea with the intent of living the vision put forth of sir slater of kelly and his band of quicksilvers. Janimal my friend we face a battl eof unthinkable proportions, a battle we cannot win. Billabong hath the darkest of weapons in the occy of mark, a small but powerful destroyer and of course an arsenal that can tak ethe air in any given flash of the sabre- lord taj of the burrows- what hope do we haev against the coperate shannangins of the evil empire? consume now and be glad for the future is bleek.

no good cryin over spilt milk... - i started surfin dock 25 years ago, and gave up about 15 years ago, when the crowds really started - ie more than 3 people. in the early days the farmer used to let us drive all the way down to the kissing gate and stop for the night - that stopped as soon as rentamob turned up from polzeath and started bein ignorant wankers. hence the gate is always locked now, and evrybody only has themselfes to blame.. i couldn't be arsed to have to park way up the hill and put up with a bunch of cocks who thought they owned the place when i only lived 2 miles away. one by one, surfers will ruin every one of these spots for themselfes and everybody else, and it has less to do with sites like this than the shortsighted, arrogant and ignorant attitudes of 95% of surfers in this country. if we all go around being twats, the world aint gona be a nice place. i definetely preferred it when sufers were a socially unacceptable underclass. there were much less of us and nobody wanted to be like us. now theres thousands of them thinkin they're someone ... i think you know where i'm going with this. its not that i have a bad attitude, i just want everyone to fuck off. if you want to enjoy your surfing, tell no-one that you surf (if your ego can handle it) and tell no-one where you go. and beware the logo spangled cook for he is a bird of ill omen....

nice message davinci - Davinci is right, I have surfed the world over and the french are the most ignorant surfers! but seriously i have been welcomed everywhere, from crowded aussie peaks to me and a local in tonga. Breaks in england are more and more like a london commuter train, no one dare say anything to someone they dont know. staying positive about people around you will mean you enjoy your surfing more and not waste your time hating people you dont know. Aloha

ignorant ahy!!! - So yet another traveller slaging off the brits in the water. I agree the relaxed vibe in the lineup (that is triangulating your position on to the peak, NOT A QUE)has all but gone. But my friend you must ask your self why? and i feel that you have already answered that by even putting your comment on this website. Yes longboarders can hog a peak, Simple dont let them, if they take the piss say "hey mate let one through" and it usually works for me, i suppose its what your vibe is, as to what responce you get. I get aggro in the water when people drop in more than once (second time Not On) its up to all of us with a little knowledge to educate these kooks, like your longboaders in your comment. did you say anything or just come home and carpet bomb the whole lot of us. Unfortunatly life in the water these days aint what it was, so deal with it, not whine about it!!!

The Flip Side - Lo people, i'd just like to say that i have only just started surfing tegardock, beautiful place, ok waves etc etc:i was invited by a local to check it out, which i am a huge believer is how it should be Eg: shown where to park + where to walk/leave stuff etc. anyway my point is that i live and work in bristol, but i also have moved to panama, i live there for 6-7 months a year, building beach huts on a central pacific, boot of panama. i surf every day usually three times a day, on my own or with my girlfriend and or mates. what im saying is that i am in the middle of nowhere with noone around there is loads of really good breaks within short driving distance of each other, most times i surf alone (and you know what? i now hate surfing alone, i love it when a few people turn up even if they are sepo's!) i love surfing with others, and best of all is when people chat in the water (unlike most breaks in england, most ignorant surfers bar the french)i dont really understand whats happened in england at the late. waves are pretty shit in england so its not the fact that we are all fighting for perfect a frames or standup barrels. the local thing i can understand to a degree, like in widemouth the other day,6 longboarders all sat on a peek, talking about business and all going for the same waves and not even going in the right direction, no lineup ,no talking to others no nods nothing just plain twats. but i would like to know why nobody talks to anyone anymore, if you say something or call someone into a wave they look at you like "alright mate i know!". its like fuck dude only trying to break the ice/be friendly. just hope you ignorant aggro twats become the visitor when you go travelling! and wonder why you arent getting respect! or if you are remember what it feels like!

- twoz shrouded in mystery, legend has it that it can be bigger than any other once swell hath come, alas even on its smallest it still delivers little and promises nothing. Many a great challenge hath come from a place at least 400 miles to the east hath come, in mercedes and bmw's they come armed with only the limited knowledge of this website and a bic board, intent of substituting there mundaine overweight ale swilling lives with that of the locality, pushed the cost of a locla abode in order to rid the area of the local vermin, alas the worm hath turned full circle and now the infedel are no longer welcome in these parts. Rape pillage murder are not a far cry away from the torture that awaits you form the east if you cmeth here, be ready for mother of tyre slashings and window waxings, yee have been warned.

TIM - Mark what a lame ass comment to make "all the wankers are at the main breaks" along with a hell of alot of good regular (not local) surfers. Glad to hear you need all those nice mod cons to hand, what ever happend to a bit of adventure in your surfing getting away from it all ,you against the elements. If you need to be baby sitted by lifegaurds and have a hot shower and a coffelate all close to hand you crack on mate and leave the real waves in cornwall to me and my crew. YOU CHAV WEEKEND WANKER!!!
