I did it once - It's not all it's cracked up to be!
Por Anonymous , 14-10-2009
Croyde vrs Chopes - The other day down at croyde, a few puffs on my pipe and I was pulling into some epic Chopes...cracking stuff.
Por Anonymous , 01-12-2007
my crack habbit - can't help it. makes me think im surfing pipe everyday. now you can't blame me for that..?
Por woolacombe barrels like waimea , 09-07-2007
Jam, are you on crack? - Woolacombe "barreling very similar to Pipe"???? That almost made me laugh out loud when I read it. My advice to you: stop smoking that shit.
Por jam , 28-06-2007
its alright - woolacomb always has a wave to be ridden if there's a swell, a little smaller than its neighboring breaks but when the conditions are right its as good as anywhere! iv seen peeks double over head and barreling very similar to pipe... but its pretty rare to see it like that, maybe once a year. but keep your eye on surf reports and when it looks good head down. if you pull round to croyde and its lookin a bit funny then head to puts or woolacomb and maybe the waves are a bit better.

this place fires...not!!! - All the locals and champions moaning about how crowded it gets and how under rated it is, cooks like flat days, get over yourselves
Por Anonymous , 25-03-2007
The best in North Devon when it's tiny - This is going to sound weird but I only really like this wave when it's 1-2ft and mega clean, I dont know why but the set ups just work perfectly then. So this summer make Woolies your go to spot! I do
Por grrrrrrrr , 23-10-2006
what the hell - woolacombes so under rated i mean just look at some of the pics then you go to germany and find better spots, yer right.
Por Me , 01-08-2006
Well said - Can someone not put big signs on the beach with these simple rules. For my safety if not anyone elses, it's such a hazard during the summer months with 20+ people chasing anything and everything that ripples. At least in the bleak mid winter the masses die.
Por Surf Safe , 01-08-2006
For all you beginners: - I don't know if you're being told this when you go and rent your yellow foam boards, but there ARE rules when you're surfing! Most important of which are:1.) Don't drop in! Before you paddle for a wave LOOK if someone else is on it already (or about to take off) and surfing in your direction. If so, DON'T catch it! DON'T just paddle blindly for everything that comes your way!!!2.) If you're on the inside and someone is surfing in your direction, don't just stay there! At least make an attempt to GET OUT OF THEIR WAY! (most of the time, try and move into the white water behind the person on the wave)3.) Wax goes on the deck of your surfboard, NOT the bottom! This is not just so "better" surfers can have a good time, but common sense for everyone's safety, including your own. I mean, you'd look before crossing a busy road, right? (right...?) If you get run over (not on purpose hopefully...) and need 20 stitches to the fin gash in your head, you'll know what I mean!
