Nice place - Shame about the locals with all that drugs up there no wonder why they are so narrow minded but in the winter when it is quiet it is an awesome place to surf.

- Best standard of surfing in Scotland, and better banter than the Edinburgh nonces at Pease.

people taking the piss - The broch beach is one of the best beaches that you can find anywhere. I think that the tourists that come here and whinge like little spoiled babies are just jealous. If they can't hack it that we have a different accent to them then they don't have to come here. They can go to England if they want an English accent.

sandend - Sandend is the place to surf. i fink its much beter than the broch.the waves 3 weeks ago were emmence and there were even sum canadians enjoying the surf with us. got pretty nail by several waves that day tho.

Da Point - Why o why is it that every time there is a northerly swell and the point starts working that a hoard of non-local kooks turn up and crowd it out - paddling inside the locals, trying to hog the set waves and generally getting in the way. Don't mind if people come with the right attitude and accept that they are not going to get set waves. But given how fickle the wave is and how long we have to wait for it to work I reckon the best bet would be to stay at home or surf down the beach where you won't get in the way. Either that or we may have to resort to more drastic measures

Wind? - Don't know what you are banging on about saying that the Broch is susceptible to the wind. With a three mile stretch of beach which bends over 90 degrees you'll get an offshore from northwest (nr the caravan site) to a southeast (philorth).

Bollox - Bollox, the broch is an ok wave it just suscptaiaaibbble? to getting messed up by the wind. I never had any problems with the locals. At the end of the day it's their home break so SHOW SOME FUCKIN' RESPECT an they might give you a wave or two. I still prefer Sandend tho.....
