December 17, 2007 - I took a drive up to Dennis beach to see if this winter swell and 90 km/hr winds would bring some waves into the bay. It was amazing, 4-6 ft barrels that gave some incredible rides. Had a blast and can finally agree that there are waves in NB.

Mace is the place - Ive been up and down the coast quite a bit this past year +, and from what Ive seen, down towards maces bay has more potential than st martins way..... as you drive out towards point lepreau and hug the water...... may have some spots.... tough to say

Curious - I've now gone down a handful of times and I've yet to see a surfable wave. What direction of swell and wind (maybe size info as well)would I need to create a surfable wave? Any help would be appreciated.

tubular waves in New Brunswick - In 1970, caught a 5' bore that rolled me, spat me out like Teaphoo. Walked out to fish weirs, waited as local Scots laughed and chewed tabacky. It came and I was carried to a beach in St. Andrews- nice smooth sea urchins and irish moss still appear as 'Fundy' ink on my skin. Ahhhh! from Redlands, Ca.

Surprised - So I decided to check out Dennis Beach yesterday seeing as there was 40 km/h SE wind and a SE swell. Was a bit more of a wave than those pics and I could see it getting half decent, given the right conditions. Nice to know seeing as I live in Moncton and don't have to always make the trek to the Eastern Passage for a little surf.

Secrets - There are places.... secret places in NB... where the waves werk only a handfull of times a year... when we have exactly the right conditions.... so now you know... there are waves in NB... but just like we did... yer gonna have to find them yerself.

anyone been out??? - anyone been out at dennis beach or garderners creek this past hurricane/winter season??????would you ever see a wave there that is overhead, curious!!!!
