PITAS POINT IS NOT FARIA - I can only guess how powerful these residents are to be able to hide Pitas Point from Wannasurf. Faria is a beginners wave, but Upper Mondos AKA Pitas Point has some of the hardest breaking waves in the Ventura area. And the rides are much longer than La Conchita Point AKA Little Rincon and C Street. You can see it if you look north from Faria. I don't want to "out" anybodies secret surf spot, but the bearded old local surfers gave me a hard time a while back. Walking- in below the mean high tide line is legal you idots. Paybacks are a bitch!! And you guys deserve the Bodyboard Contest that I hear is coming your way!!

rincon is better - yeah dont surf here, it sucks compared to rincon and Pipes. Even Hobsons is better just up the beach.

bring you 10 foot tanker - this place is mellow - if your going to surf plan on 8 chicks and 4 families on each wave. A total blast on a longboard if thats your thing. Sometimes hard to look up the point at pitas and see kirra style tubes in the winter though.

Chill out everyone - Funny to see ppl getting worked up about Faria...it's probably the mellowest wave this side of waikiki. THIS IS A BEGINNER/LONGBOARDER WAVE! Chill out everyone, and if you want to get aggro, Faria is definately not the place. Damn, at least get the sack to go surf C-Street!?!? Otherwise, don't take this spot for more than it is, just a mellow wave with a mellow crowd.
