Check the forecast first - like any other spot in the Gulf, conditions must be right for it to be rideable

Can be good when there are waves - There are probably a half dozen spots in Destin that are worth checking. The sandbars here are really shifty so the spot that was firing today may suck next week. Just cruise up the coastal roads and look for a peak. Be careful where you park(for several reasons) and remeber that outside sandbar is A LOT further than it looks.
