a couple questions... - I have a couple questions about waimea. 1. How deep is it where the main wave breaks? Is it coral or sand? 2. How do you know when to exit and enter the water with the shorebreak? 3. Are there many sneaker sets that come through?

nice 18 - I dont think that any of the pics on the last page are from this spot but pic number 18 would be AMAZING to skim! I would def be running towards it rather than away from it.

Booga - Stand ups are soft... more of them should take the shorey.. maybe then they would get sum spongey respect

- Note to beginners: Waimea is not always this big. Only in the winter months does it pick up to 15-30 feet. It can be fun also if you are looking for little waves in the summer, but is more or less flat in these months. If you are on the north shore and find yourself intimidated, back track a little bit down Kam highway and go to Laniakea. Its fun, filled with turtles, and can range anywhere from 2-20ft depending on the months.

- At 30 feet, the Bay is SERIOUSLY closed out.
