English (Traducir este texto en Español): This is one of the few breaks in Cape Town that holds up in a South West wind. There is a permanent sandbar in the middle of the break with peaks breaking left and right. The left is very consistent and breaks into a channel. The right sometimes closes out or fades, but can still give great long rides on the right day, which end over a rocky area. The shore break can get a little serious on big days - you may want to kick out before you get there. Unless the swell is big, don't bother at high tide - it get's too deep and the waves don't break on the sandbar.

When it does work, you will find the waves easy to ride, yet meaty and fast moving.
Ambiente
English (Traducir este texto en Español): Friendly atmosphere, despite hectic crowds.
General
English (Traducir este texto en Español): I love surfing here because it's a very easy spot to predict. A good swell, a South-wester, anything except high tide and it goes off.

- Go in the morning very early (maybe you can become the meal of a shark breakfast!!) and enjoy a very fun and rideable waves, before the crowd. It can get big..really big.. holds up to 8 - 10 feet and is off-shore with any south wind (SW,S,SE). Very good in the big days..(it likes west swell)
