Black sand beach works best in the wet season when Kuta, etc. are onshore. The sand is *really* hot. Offers some barrels to get slotted in. Japanese infestaion can sometimes be a problem.

Summer of '03 - Surfed here a couple of times during the summer of 2003; it sucked. Your home beach break is probably better. I suppose it's a good wave if you want something mellow and you have nothhing better to do. You might even consider going for the drive as it can be quite scenic.
