Usually better else where - This is pretty much the lamest spot along the whole Ichinomiya area. It picks up way less swell than all others unless the swell here is direct north. Pic 6 is a classic example of a day at Taito - in summer minus the wetsuits and add another 200 bodies floating in the water. Nearby Shida (next groyne north) will usually pick up twice as much swell (which might not be saying much!). The best time to hit Taito is in a maxed out Typhoon swell or big north swell that isn`t being handled in other places. It can offer a fun, wally reform and it handles an onshore pretty well. In clean conditions with a lot of swell though, you really want to be somewhere else.
