- can't say enough good things about EJ and the crew from Manila...

if you're stuck in Manila and need a surf, it's worth it, the one thing to note is that it is MUCH better on weekends when the larger pool is running. Yes, you need to use their boards (note: you don't need your handshaped thruster to ride wavepool waves); yes, the machine runs for given hours only (10-12, then 2-4); but it's a hoot, and the people make it totally worth it.

BTW, drive to some of the spots NE and NW is closer to 7-8 hours.. factor that in to your Manila weekend trip calculus.
