English (Traducir este texto en Español): The best way to get out to the Box is by parking your car at the Ettalong ramp and scabbing a boat ride out to the Box. I f you want to paddle its extremely hard when against the current. 1.8 KM paddle out. When surfing this break when its huge and firing, be careful not to get caught inside because the rip drags you in and your a gonna.
Ambiente
English (Traducir este texto en Español): The atmosphere is unbelievable. Sometimes the jetskiers stuff the wave up but when they go its epic, no one out there next to a National Park with Boats going past.
General
English (Traducir este texto en Español): The locals go out sometimes but now there too lazy to get off there bums so they wait till its firing right through with 1km rides.

willow - when will you get the message that no one owns a surf spot(except in fiji) DICKHEADS!!!THE BOX IS A GREAT SURF SPOT. THE PADDLE OUT IS NOT TOO BAD IF YOU GO OUT WITH THE BRISBANE WATER DRIFT. BUT COMING IS SOMETHING ELSE.DONT WAIT TILL YOURE SURFED OUT TO GET BACK IN .. OR YOU WONT!!!. PADDLE ALL THE WAY.STAND UP AND TRY TO WALK AND YOU MIGHTB JUST STEP ON A STINGRAY. A SET AT THE BOX HAS SO MANT WAVES IN IT IT REMINDS ME OF INDO.IT SEEMS LIKE A SOFT WAVES BUT IT WILL SLAM THE SHIT OUT OF YOU IF YOU DONT RESPECT IT. IF YOU GET HURT OUT THERE YOU ARE IN DEEP TROUBLE.YSE THERE ARE SHARKS BUT ARNT THEY EVERYWHERE .PROBLEM IS YOU ARE SUCH A LONG WAY FROM SHORE. IF YOU GO INTO GOOGLE EARTH AND MEASURE THE DISTANCE FROM SHORE IT S ABOUT 1.5 KMS.ITS A GREAT WAVE WHEN YOU GET ONE BUT THE PADDLE BACK OUT IS A PUNISH, BECAUSE YOU ARE PADDLING AGAINST THE CURRENT, UNLESS YOU GO WAY OUT INTO THE DEEP WATER.....AND ITS REALLY SHARKY OUT THERE. HAVE HEARD OF LOTS OF SIGHTINGS OUT THERE BUT NEVER SEEN ONE MYSELF. BUT I AM SURE THAT THEY ARE THERE. BUT THEN THEY ARE ALWAYS THERE.YOU JUST DONT SEE THEM. IF THEY LET YOU SEE THEM THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED.THERE ARE LOTS MORE SHARKS AT CACTUS(WE SAW A GREAT WHITE EVERY DAY WHEN WE WERE THERE)SO ENJOY THE BOX IF YOU ARE FIT ENOUGH AND BRAVE ENOUGH TO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT.

RESPECT - Anyone is welcome to surf here, but disrespect the UMINA boys and you will not get another wave to yourself out here.
