Walk a kay or two up the beach and you'll find a couple of reef breaks which always pick up more swell than the beachies. One of them is Spot X. I surfed this place on Xmas day, 1999. Head high and no-one out. Very isloated but crystal clear water. Take off is cruisy, but the wave picks up speed then turns inside out on an inside section. Looks deceptively mellow at 3 - 4' but will pin you to the reef for a good 10 seconds! I never knew the name of the break until I met a local KI chick at a pub one night who described it. Keep your eyes out for seals and BIG fish.

Amazing. You will not find a single piece of rubbish on the beach. Absolutely pristine. I hope it stays this way... but it saddens me to think it probably won't...
