English (Traducir este texto en Español): There has to be a big swell running for this place to break. Generally consistent 8ft on the ocean beaches (Portsea, Rye, Gunnamatta). Then Pines will be about 2ft with 3ft sets and a nice crowd. Pretty much a mal wave.
Ambiente
English (Traducir este texto en Español): It's usually small and crowded, but hey where isn't these days.
General
English (Traducir este texto en Español): It's hardly ever uncrowded and above 2ft-3ft. It's always packed with mal riders on big boards. It's not a locals spot, but there tends to be a few heroes out there. It has a great setup but the wave tends not to wall up all the way, if it did it would be classic.

Classic - This spot is a classic. Best longboard wave in Victoria. Dont listen to all the shit , common down and have a surf. Keep a smile on ya dial , dont paddle to the inside and dont try to take all the set waves. Great place to have a relaxing surf. Really only suited to longboards but if you only shortboard give it a go. Starts off a bit flat but once it hits the reef , WHOOOaaaa. Never any hassles here , just good vibes and classic rides. Just remember to bring your manners because people put a lot of time into surfing this place and when its pumping (probably not the best description of pines...) these guys will want the best waves and why wouldn't they. If its to crowded have a look around. There are other great longboard waves within 15 mins walk. Don't just paddle out because there are others out there. So I will see you out there
