English (Traducir este texto en Español): sometimes it can get shallow and the take off will suck the wave up and when it's good, espcially in the arvo, there are alot of people, longboarders there are alot of and watch out for seaweed after storms
Ambiente
English (Traducir este texto en Español): good for shortboarders but only if you can paddle like hell other wise the longers will just chop you up. if you have a long board, its an alright wave to get upearly coz sometimes it takes a while(thats if it aint wedging properly. with all the long boards it seems pretty crowded, but i guess thats just coz they take up so much of an area in the water.
General
English (Traducir este texto en Español): the occasional barrel if u take off in the right spot and position your self quickly, and over all its a fun wave to have a go at.

Sandtrax has its days.. - Turn left into Port Beach Rd Then right into the second sandy carpark. On the right conditions Sandtrax can be pumping (usually when it has its banks after a storm). There are many breaks along the beach but your best spot would probably be up the beach on the bigger left groyne. On the right conditions every wave can be the perfect barrel. Some waves suck up and barrel which are hard to make (good for bodyboarding), bounce off the groyne and creating a wedge (on decent swell), or break off the rocks of the groyne which can barrel and creates a nice ride (usually attracting the longboarder crew). On big swell its usually onshore, and on smaller swell it's more chance of an offshore but its fun either way.Due to dredging many rocks and boulders have been washed up on the shore so beware of landing on them when you get dumped.Over all Sandtrax is a fun wave to have a go at. Ideal conditons would probably be NW/SW swell with easterly winds).
