chill out - Grew up surfing the point with friends for years and now live in aussie. I have surfed some great waves here and in new zealand and i cant understand all these poofters giving each others breaks so much shit, if you dont like it then just dont surf there im sure the locals would be more then happy to have it to themselves. Tauroa point is a world class wave when its on just respect the locals and youll be sweet. PS ask about Michael Tepania probably the only kid in New Zealand who could have went all the way to a world title pure talent. surf hard and dont be to greedy out there.

JBay vs Shippies - It really doesn't matter which is or isn't the best to each their own. Shippies is good a better than many when it is on. But so is the Bluff and Panu Tanu if your brave and I'm sure that Sth Africa has stunning surf. However their sharks are disgustingly nasty and always hungry. If u surf because u love it then it doesn't really matter which is or isn't best. Oh yeah, I'm a kiwi and I've been to JBay. i musta got it on a bad day casue it was kaka.
