English (Traducir este texto en Español): on a north west swell the southern end of the beach will have a long rippable left and a short but sucky right, on a southerly swell the north end will have a sick as right hander which barrels extreamly fast along a shallow sandbar thers an outside peak and then it reels off, this is a very fickle wave and very dependent on the tide, it only breaks when the swell in the cook strait is about 4 meters.

ok? - Hey i love surfing and the ocean, but its just hard to take t bay seriously as a surf spot & listen to the locals blowing on like its indo or somthing. For sure you can get a real love & attachment for your local break & ocean but still does not change the fact that T bay is not a great wave. But hey enjoy. If it makes you happy then it must be good. (please travel)

townie???wtf....you must be an idiot - some people i think maybe have lost all concept of what surfing is all about.how narrow can the mind get.i live here, with a view of the break....and like any wave in the world.....its has its day...i love it here......ding dongs like you can just stay away, often i look out my window..see a very nice wave...with no one out...and spend plenty of time smiling my way thru a session......if you find that you arnt finding the love in this thing we call surfing...then i suggest that you go and take up tennis or golf or something........enjoy my local wave......we surf for the vibe, the stoke..the love of the ocean.

tbay treats - This is to everyone who thinks they're too good for tbay. If you're one of them, then don't come here, more waves for us. Thing is, there is always something to learn or perfect in the surf out here, no matter how bad it can get at times. Saying that its shit is just saying that you are too shit to know how to surf it. I bet slats would blaze 10's in the worst conditions out here. I've heard and seen it all before, people complaining at the waves when they should be more worried about how wide their stance is. No one round here is good enough to make the shit call!!
