Trops - Trop's has a sick wave. Don't surf here unless you know what you are doing. At low tide Fire Coral is only inches from the surface of the ocean. Fire Coral = Ruined Surf Trip!

thight - this place has a nice barrel but it is very dangerous i could not find my surfboard so i had to use a body board and dat was fun 6 foot nice hollow tubes i loved it its flat now but it goes off in hurricanes or from november to about march

I've surfed it - Yea it's pretty shallow, but nothing compared to Racetrack at Ulu's. Doesn't hold 15 foot surf at all.

Tropicana aka... Fang reef - well Troppi is not a long wave... ur riding it for like 15 seconds max but it will be a RIPPING 15 seconds. As far as it getting 15 feet... I suppose it can get that big but it rarely breaks well over 8 feet. past 8 feet going on 10 its not good at all, jus a big wall that mushes and the reef isn't worth the risk at that size... it will literally gouge pieces out of u... that is NOT an exaggeration I have lost flesh out there... BUT ITS SOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!! glassy fast makable barrels keep u coming back for more and more. u get cut on the reef and u don't care its soo much fun!!!!!ok I am dun... try it and be prepared to pay ur dues.

'lucky here...' Say what?? - So, you surfed Tropicana at 15ft with an easy slow take-off? Yeah, of course you did... Did you then get on a plane to Tahiti and surf Teahupoo on a lifesaving ski? Muppet....

perfect - perfect lefts, you shudnt be worried about getting robbed, barbados has a very low crim rate, not saying it is impossbile to get robbed though
Por mike , 03-12-2004
- i suggest not snorkeling this spot becouse once u see the coral u might now want to surf it. its a sick wave tho so have fun but be careful
Por Bajan... , 25-02-2004
Tropicana - Yeah, Tropicana is rough. The reef will skin you alive if you arent careful. DONT GO RIGHT. People end up in the hospital for that stuff. My uncle used to work at the Tropicana hotel and he saw more than one tourist being pulled off the reef. But, if you get it good on a north swell, you will have picture perfect left barrels with a deep channel to paddle back out

I was lucky here!!!!! - I enjoyed the best day of my life b/c what was 6 foot blown out changed into 15 foot with offshore, pure glass with slow, easy, steep, fast lefts that flew about 50 meters then ended with 20 meter close out barrels. Only 8 out an dour arms were rags. Amazing sunset and cold frosty, drive-through draft beers..I've surfed Bathsheba, Pavonnes, Rincon, all of S. Cal. and this was the very best. The problem is.... This type of action is very rare. If you go to Barbados to surf--- It never goes flat, but expect only every 3rd week to be clean and worth the expensive trip.Very friendly, but NEVER go onto the beach at night, or you very well may be robbed at knife point. You will need a car b/c you could easily drive all over looking for surf everyday. If it is blown out then try the other side, b/c it is an island dingdong!!TD.
