English (Traducir este texto en Español): You can park at the public access for free, very nice, or take the bus for like a peso.<br />This spot is sick when it breaks, the winds have to be good and it’s a public beach. It’s a weird wave, I suggest you rent boards there. You can get them from the lifeguards. The public beach is a little sketchy, go on the week days if you can, and be careful of currents. The sand is nice and soft so if you suck and you get worked, you get worked into soft sand. It’s a fast wave.
Ambiente
English (Traducir este texto en Español): Locals are cool, they help you surf, and the swimmers give you the right of way, they stay away from you and the waves break far enough out so they're not a problem.
General
English (Traducir este texto en Español): It's real nice WHEN it breaks, when it doesn't break, it might be longboardable IF that.

cancun/puerto - It is depending on how good a surfer you are, in october the swell in Puerto can be awesome and almost always there. Be aware of very strong rips epecially when its windy. For a little more easy wave you can go to La Punta, southside of Zicatela. I have seen some awesome waves here too with guys coming out of the water with snapped boards. Was certainly too big for me then ;-) But on like a normal day its a perfectly good and nice wave. Funny thing is Im moving to Cancun by the end of May cause my GF lives there so if anybody can tell me where to go, I would appreciate it. When I get the chance Im moving to Puerto though ;-)Anyway have fun..

go for fun in the sun...and you might get waves, too - (...don't know what the hell "Joost" was talking about)
If you go to Cancun in the summer, you'll probably get at least a small windswell (and there's always the possibility you'll get a good groundswell from a tropical depression....or die in a hurricane). Either way, don't bother if you're a beginner - not the place to learn to surf.
in winter, they get the occasional decent sized north groundswell from the same cold fronts that travel across the USA...plus, their usual small and choppy tradewind swells.
go to cancun to play and snorkel in warm blue water. Don't go there expecting ridable surf...but you'll probably get some anyhow.
