Las Palmas Hotel (La Lancha) - Just got back from Punta Mita,it rained most of the time so the surf wasnt that great this time. But I met a nice couple, Dave and Irene, they own Las Palmas Hotel.
Really nice place thats reasonable my room with ocean view was 45.00 a night with A/C, Direct TV, full kitchen, free Vonage Phone to the US!
Dave has a boat and a truck so he can drive you to any spot. Hell pick you up and, for half the cost of a taxi!
His e-mail is las_paalmas72@hotmail.com drop you off at the airport

Don't need a boat - You don't need a panga to get to La Launcha.. you can walk from Punta Mita on the beach (30 minutes)... might have to paddle around some small rocks. Or drive from Punta Mita... there is a bridge on the highway with a sign that says "La Launcha". That's where you park. Was there this morning.. very small with 25 people in the water.

this spot - I surfed this spot for about 3 days in august '05. I would get up pretty early and walk down from this small motel we stayed at in Punta de Mita. Fun little right about chest-shoulder high on a south that was double overhead in michoacan. Edit: was fun till the boats would show up with beginners staying in PV. I still caught my waves, got a very nice pic one day, decided to leave and go farther south, the peak couldnt handle 30 people on longboards, very frustrating.
