From there, walk across the main road where you will find a big, ugly, medieval looking white castle. It is a night club called Valentinos. There you will find the point. English (Traducir este texto en Español): Don't bother to drive. Just get a bus or taxi. The best break is the right that peels off the point. If it's breaking kind of weird, get out and walk around to the other side of Valentinos where you will find a left point break. Just watch out for the rocks that tend to pop up in front of you as the wave sucks up!
Ambiente
English (Traducir este texto en Español): Don't know what this place is like on a day to day basis. But for the week that I was there it was great. We had some of the best waves of our 3 month Mexican surfing vacation right here. Within 100 metres of a McDonalds restaurant!

Mushy but interesting - Kinda scenic rocky/reef point in the center of town with a lot of local spectators. I wouldn't seek it out cause it's a pretty shitty wave but if you drive by and it's breaking, it's uncrowded, long-ish right and definitely tropical and warm.

Jelly Fish In Mazatlan - I was just in Mazatlan from May 25 - June 1, 2006. This was jelly fish season. We were told by the locals that Jelly Fish season lasts from about the last week of May till the end of June. But, we were able to surf at Olas Altas, Cerritos (Play Bruja), Pinos and Stone Island every day. The secret is getting out early and coming in by around 11 when the Jelly fish start coming in. Also, a good rule of thumb is to look for the locals, if they're out, then it's probably safe. Also, we didn't see as many man o'wars as we did these little "baby blues" they're much smaller and if you wear a long sleeve rash gaurd, they cant sting you through it.

Jelly Fish - I'm planning on going to mazatlna in late May. I have been talking to one of the locals there and supposedly you cannot surf from May-August cause of the portugese man of war investations. Anyways any info on the issue or any advice as to how I can get some waves with out getting stung a millio times would be very helpful. Thanks,Paul
