barrels - I just sat wide when i was there everyone hussles the peak and they are often too deep so if they dont make it go I got 6 barrels on 5 waves and got out stoked not that good though fuerte too much wind clean days on the north shore are quite rare

Funny - funny to ear people saying that they had good set waves or any wave at all in fuerteventura, you must had be very very lucky.I live there and it is fine for windsurf, but surf?!?!?!

Locals - Ya. The bubble, when it is on will be covered with around 10-15 locals who know each other very well and will pick off every single set wave. They will drop in on you even when you have waited patiently and are on the peak inside. You will not get a set wave and good luck sitting inside trying to pick off the smaller ones when a bomb set comes through. Excellent wave though. A-frame with hard sucking tubes both sides.

Agro Locals! - If you think you are going to paddle out and score set waves think again. On a small swell this is often the only wave worth surfing on the island. Get up early or get frustrated. The locals are used to a new pack of holiday makers each week and know how to hassle you out of the water! Good wave but real hard to get the set waves that are the world class ones. Even though I scored some epic waves. Not quite Indo but has a good effort at doing so for Europe!Dont be supprised if the locals drop in on your wave of the day!

respect the locals - calling the locals wankers will not help traveler, takea little time and think how spanish would be treated at your loacal spot (unlikely situation i know)I have surfedin furte on and off the twelve years and have never had a problem just show the same respect that you would want from visitors to your break, but being fron bournmouth you dont really have descent break to protect

Tar road now built to this north shore - Go to Lajares and as you come in on the Corralejo side there is a football ground. Turn right onto the tar road there. Follow it all the way at high speed all the way to Manjanicho fishing village. This is right on the coast right in the middle of the whole north shore track. Not all but most spanish/canarian surfers are not welcoming to any foreigners and have no wish to follow any surfing etiquette, EVEN IF YOU CAN RIP, ARE ON YOUR OWN AND SIT BACK QUIETLY WAITING FOR THE NON SET WAVES. I think if any cocky spanish visit your break then single them out for the some treatment because they are not about to change their behaviour in this lifetime. Habla this...most of the mullet heads really need to put in more time on their surfing and less on their attitudes towards people paying into the tourist industry keeping them in employment.....

Theiving Spiks - Had our boards stolen from our car overnight along the north track. Anyone see them and you are welcome to them, so long as you bash the spik in that has them.Best Ever(UK Board) - 6'5"x19Grubb Margaret River (Oz) - 6'5" (Blue nose)Pipedream (Oz) - 6'4"PS: Maybe ask about the board 1st, so as not to smash up a German tourist by accident who may have bought it of said spik.

Derecha Del Hierro-(Bubble) - La puntilla(spew pits)is sick, but Bubble when breaks good is as good for bodyboarding as Spew pits. But both waves are very locals, just give some repect for the locals and you'll get some waves.

no title - The Bubble isan awesome wave no two ways about it.I`ve been on a couple of winter trips there and its fired every time.I, like many others had the best barrel of my life there, a 5 second, deep kaleidescope with the eye opening and shutting before spiting me out.I saw this one Israeli guy(who ripped!?) take off, the curtain came down for maybe 20 meters in front of him and the fucker got spat out. I`ve travelled all over and this one is right up there with the best of them for small to medium surf.Paddle outs a piece of piss, don`t know what that other chaps on about!
