English (Traducir este texto en Español): Easy parking next to the spot. The wind needs to blow hard from the eastern to the southern corner to create waves here, but the occasional swell also reaches Rødvig. It's a good bodyboarder spot because it's a fast wave which is really shallow and short when it's on...

The wave has a flat takeoff but after that it has a really steep waveface. That's when the swell hits the sandbar created by the harbour wall.
Ambiente
English (Traducir este texto en Español): Not much of a surfers spot.. often windsurfers crowds here when the wind is on....

Cold, cold, cold.... But worthwile on an island that has only a couple of good wavespots.
General
English (Traducir este texto en Español): Nice relaxed atmosphere... the cold water tends to cool you down when you're getting pissed by by some windsurfer racing close to you...

Take your mates and you can have a fun session here. Go alone and you´ll end sitting out there freezing your balls off.....

You're right about Rødvig - It is the most hollow beachbreak on Sjælland. And you're right.. theres no one out there. And if so, many of them are sailing the wave (often they do the lefthander because of the wind direction). I believe the righthander is the most powerfull.Rødvig is known by windsurfers as the most killing wave on South Sjælland (and Denmark i believe). This wave has destroyed many sails and boards, even on small days Rødvig has shown its teeth.Today in december when it is to cold for windsurfing, the east and southeast winds bring more good than bad. It is never to cold for a good paddle and it is absolute uncrowded. Many days i have been standing there looking at perfect waves up to 3m and no-one out. I know surfing on Sjælland is not the most social happening and a lot of people prefer "kvindehåndbold" on saturdays but surfing in 3m hollow grind on the Boesdal pointbreak in december being the only one in the water is a bit quiet sometimes.lets contact and share some waves this wintercheers, RH

the real break - Yeah, but fifthisland, you know as well as I do that the Boesdal pointbreak (nobody who surfs there calls it that though) is not the same as Rødvig :-)Although it's very much in the neighbourhood. As a matter of fact it's incredible so few surfers actually do search. They only throw questions on the fora of surfsites. And if there's no real answer? Well than just keep on surfing the same onshore dump/slop as you did before..
