le pays des vagues molles. - vert bois, grand village,les allassins et j'en passe ne sont que des grosses vagues molles et trés nettement en dessous de ce que m'on peut trouver quelques kilometres plus haut ou plus bas sur le restant de la côte de la charente maritime et de la vendée. Alors bon courage pour ceux qui souhaiterait se mesurer à toutes ces vagues molles alors qu'en cherchant bien de meilleures conditions pourront se présenter à vous.

beniassoute - Many people come to les allass but they surf in main verbois who the waves are smallest and when there arethe real wave everybody are at verbois and les allass are nearly desert.

Surfing in Charente-Maritime - In summer, the swell is frequently small, it's not easy to find good waves. Choose another season to surf in this area (less people, more waves, power). If you're a beginner, it's so cool to learn here on the beachbreaks. But, in the summer, you can find a lot of jellyfishes.

Vert Bois - How's it going? Entered a long board comp here in september and can say that while the waves may lack a bit of power, the weather and atmosphere are great. Overall, a great place to spend a couple of days if you are touring up/down the coast.

Great Weather, poor surf - Hi Folks

I surfed this spot whilst on vacation in August.

The weather, water temp and beach were great, unfortunately the surf was poor. Small, irregular sets with no great power to them.

I spoke with the guys at the 'Whitehouse' surf shop who assured me that epic swells hit around late sept/oct, and having been to the spot I could well believe it.

All in all, worth a visit but maybe summer isn't the best time.
