..... - Not worth the trip down. Nice beach but for the amount of driving you do you might as well go to kerry or clare, where the quality and consistency is far better.

beautiful beach - we went to barley cove in june last year.there is not a photo to show how beautiful and unspoilt the beach is.

Small Beach - Head there this Sunday morning comming 04/03/07 with SE winds and a storm off shore it will be one of a rare number of spots that will work on South Coast
and it should be good if a bit scary on the smaller beach.

winter - surfed here for a couple of years. gets really good about 3 times a year and definitely a winter wave. waves have to wrap a long way to get into the bay just check out a map! handy if you live near by to get into the water for a paddle.

Barley Cove - When the swell is big enough 2 meter+ the smaller beach really pumps out monsters. its also fairly protected from winds by surrounding hills. southerly winds are cross shore at worst. worth the trek if rest of south coast is blown out. ie. winter
