In the road from São Torpes to Porto Covo, has you look at the sea, in normal days you will see a flat rock above the water in front of the restaurant Arte e Sal, exactly before you pass a very small bridge ( 1 car at a time very low width bridge).

You have a fish restaurant on one side of the road, and on the other side you have the beach.

 Información adicional

This spot only works on extremly HIGH tides that occur in summer, because all year round the reef is exposed and comes out from the water, you can see an extreme big rock out of the water all year round.

You will have to wait for the right tide and the right swell and off shore wind to meet.

IMPORTANT: HELMET advise, ONLY BODYBOARDERS.

Ambiente

Extreme sick hollow pit, this is in my opinion the magic wave of the south coast, we are talking about 5ft wave waves suckin in 30cm of water and sometimes less.

It´s one of the hollowest and fastest waves i have seen in the south coast.

The wave is a very short Ride, but an oppurtunity to score the tube of your life, please allways wear an helmet you can really hurt yourself.

The wave ends has soon has it goes of of the reef, and gets very deep so you can really risk some deep tubes.

When it gets bigger then 5ft it simply messes up, and the wave does not break right, i have surfed there and really hurted my self above 5ft.

NOTE: Bodyboarders only

General

SICK SICK SICK. Every year i go to this spot in the high tides season, to surf it.

I have catch it twice, and i consider myself a lucky bastard, most of the people in a lifetime dont see it work.

Alentejano - This wave exists the reef is there i have seen it break, never surf it, most of the photos are wrong but it simply RARELY BREAKS...because it needs small swell and big tide...it´s not an hoax relax!

Pictures are from different spots - Sorry guys (again), the pictures shown here are from different surf spots almost certainly. Have a good look at all the pictures. Particularlly the ones showing the left and a bit of background sky and landscape. You will see that in some pictures there are some large rock formations out of the water to the left of the point (if you are looking out from the beach), while in others there is nothing or some very distant rocks/islands. In one of the pictures it is said that the Island seen in the background is "Ilha do Pessegeiro" or "Peach Island". I dobt it very much because I was out there yesterday and it is not possble to see that Island from there! Sorry.Cheers, Luciano
