- Good waves break just at low tide, high tide it becomes a bay. If it get to big it closes out, but mid swells are sweet as a nut, rights at the middle and lefts at the left corner, awesome. Some days are even good for barreling, as my good friend Darrel would say, it's true. Weak winds and eastern swells are ideal.

dowgan porth - great beach for taking your dog theyr allowed to shit there all year around and they can drink from the sewage river.the waves are not upto much either all the known other spots in the area are better

Secret!! - Mawgan Porth is amazing when it works. The left is sucky and quality and when the tide pushes there is a sick wedge over by the cliff. Its my favourite wave but not many people know about it so shhh! Oh yeh theres a scary seal around there aswell.

Good for a holiday??? - Me and my four best friends are coming to Mawgan Porth next summer for a surfing holiday. We're pretty much beginners, we've done a little before but not much. Can you hire surfboards? Get lessons? And what's the village like? Nightlife? Restaurants? Cafes? Emails are welcome about anything I should know about surf or just what to do in the area.

i love mawgan porth - i went to mawgan porth in the summer with my best friend holly and we met the nicest ppl down there! and last week we went back and saw everyone again and it was such a laff!! clubbing is excellent and all the people are lovely especially carl jenkin tom brigdewater and tom bainse any one who is lookin for a good campin place too, sunhaven valley is 5* and is well nice. only 10 mins from the beach walking and surfing is greta too!!
