Camel Rock... - Just saw the latest video on Camel with about 30 guys on it...wow. What happened? Surfed regularly up there 20 years ago and a perfect day at Camel had 8-10 guys at the most. That sucks. That (and the Jetty) were my favorite waves. Hope all is well with you and my old friends in Humboldt.

Its nice out here .... - I think the surf is great up in Humboldt. Theres waves for everyone , for everyliking and talent . Camel Rock scoring a 2* is a bit unfair . For consistency its the bet most days in the winter . Otherwise you gotta know where to go as usual . The 3 rocks south stone lagoon are also worth a check when the swell is dying.peace and Luv surf mates and sistas. p.s---As for the locals , they can be as hard as the weather but a smile and giving way will temper that .

wrong - the surf in humboldt does get good but if your trying to score on your way thru town its prob not going to happen. it takes patience and knowing where to go with the swell, tide, wind ect. if you do know where to go youll never want to leave.

Humboldt surf is no good - the surf in humboldt is big, cold, windy and sharky. the waves never get good and neither does the weather. the people are crazy and the surf is no good. i wish i never would have stopped there.

Lost Coast - Lots of Breaks in here! Really have to be an "Indiana Jones" to get to some of them! Nobody wants to give-up their Secret Spot...What happens in the Lost Coast, I guess, stays Lost?

surfing anywhere - obviously the rude comments are from the younger crowd. when you grow up and visit other surf spots, you'll realize that you have to show some respect and get along with everyone in the line-up and the locals. a bad attitude shows, and you really need local knowledge to get around when in unfamiliar places. some of the best days are when you meet the people who really know the area and actually get invited to hang, surf and party with the locals. lighten up and it will pay off.

REAL LOCALS - The Yurok Tribe. Yes, the real locals. Some of you need to quite claiming SH%T and show some respect. The waves are a gift for everyone. I had one of the best days of my life @ Kane rd, 6'-8'. It set up like a left point. Real Spooky.
