- Localismo
English (Traducir este texto en Español): TC's is the #2 major right-hander in the PV area, the #1 spot being held by Lunada Bay. Like Lunada, it is extremely localized. You can fit in though: Be discreet, go by yourself, go on an "off" day and above all, be a really good surfer and really polite. To get there, get to Royal Palms and head West. There are a few other excellent reefs between Royal Palms and Portuguese Bend, with varying states of localism. The above listed route is for first-<br />timers. After you become familiar with the area you'll figure out the neighborhood/cliff access. Always leave your car discreetly. You wouldn't be the first to get vandalized. Explore and enjoy!
Ambiente
English (Traducir este texto en Español): TC's is a good righthander when all of the conditions are right. Generally takes a W or WNW swell that manages to wrap into the Catalina Channel. The coast here faces south so it can often be offshore when it's northerly brethren are blown out by North winds. Often bad at the start of a storm due to South wind but good later when the wind turns North. There can also be a left on the backside of the reef on some summertime S & SE swells.
General
English (Traducir este texto en Español): Besides the great wave, there is localism. Tread with caution and respect and don't hesitate to leave if you feel threatened.

Corrections is correct - The photo is a fake. TC's do't even break close to that and they copied the other picture as mentioned before. As for if it is good and no one out. Yes it happens. I mentioned earlier on this blog of my friends ripping it, solid overhead and very long fast walls. the tide was medium low so that probably scared the wimps. As for the locals, a fat, old bald guy paddeled out and tried to harras my three friends who thought about kicking the shit out of em but had to laugh. the guy was an old kook trying to act like it was 1973 and he was a tough guy. I'm sure there are good surfers in Pedro, but they are probably surfing somewhere else when its good because you "rarely" and I stress "rarely" see a ripper in Pedro. Nuff said.

corrections - That photo of "epic, empty TC's" posted on 2/28/08 is a fake. Compare it to the photo posted 2/08/08. Also, when TCs is going off, there are locals who rip it. You might catch it without locals or with only kook locals, but that just tells you it wasn't a good day. If it was truly good, the locals would be all over it.

LAME WAVE - This is a very poor wave, as a mater of fact all of san pedro isn't very good. The island of catalina blocks all swells so dont even bother stopping. Keep on going north to the southbay or south to long beach. Long beach has these islands that go off, esp. on south swells....The last post was written a year ago. The first post 6 yrs ago.So this post maybe a little new compared to the others. People who claimed they surfed there with 3 friends are lying, Saying the surfers there suck, could be. Talking shit about longies..just jealous because they dont have a job that pays them good...Again, yes the waves suck so go somewhere else.
