From Highway 1 turn onto Olema-Bolinas Road. Follow it into Bolinas. Parking is likely to be difficult, so you may have to park some distance from the beach. When you see the dogs sleeping in the road you're there!

 Información adicional

Locals usually steal street-signs pointing to Bolinas. Keep a sharp eye. The first of the two breaks is at the mouth of the Bolinas Lagoon. Follow the main road into town until it ends at the beach; you can see the break from there. The other one is a little farther north. You will need to park somewhere else, though. Parking in Bolinas is very limited and on weekends it can be almost impossible. You might have to park on the Mesa, and walk half a mile, or even a mile, from your car down to the beach. Note: The COPS are rather ticket-happy so it is best not to chance it with no-parking-zones or other non-standard ways to park.

Ambiente

It does indeed break "regularly" in Bolinas, but most of those days might be considered "barely rideable," tiny, mushy, semi-blown. Every few months there will be a couple of days straight with "fun" waves (perhaps shoulder-head high) for a couple hours each day, and once every couple of years there are days with "amazing" waves.

General

Kind of a gamble if you're driving from far away. Even when it's great at Cronkhite or some other indicator it can still be junk in Bolinas. On the other hand, it may be good in Bolinas. If you're wrong, at least you could paddle around in frustrated aggro circles, or perhaps just sit out there on your board weeping in the tragic, foggy gloom.

Bolinas is Alright I Guess - First of all, all of you SO Cal douchebags can suck it! Just had to say that.... If you catch it on the right day Bo isn't the worst. Just remember it's a beginner break so don't act like you have a big dick! If it was really that big you'd go to Salmon on Pt Reyes, so suck it again! Cya bitchasz on the next south swell!

Great experience in Bolinas - Been a few years since anyones added a comment here. So I thought I'd update with my experience's out there.
I haven't had any issues with Localism at all. Mostly friendly surfers who will chat with you if you are friendly.
I met a SF surfer out there for one session and struck up a convo.. we ended up surfing together for the day and he gave me some great pointers I've been working on since.

I'm still a noob (
