English (Traducir este texto en Español): Access can be difficult if you are not a local. You can paddle over from La Jolla Shores or repel down the rope on the near by cliff, which is trickier and much more dangerous but faster. The spot is called Devil Slides because of all the rock slides in the area. Dont be intimidated by the name, this is a fairly easy spot to surf if you know your stuff. English (Traducir este texto en Español): This spot rarely breaks due to its location deep inside the La Jolla Cove. It takes a lot of swell to make it in there. You can park your car in the lot at the Shores or go to the park by Boomers Beach and take the trail that leads to a cliff with a rope that you can repel down right to the break.
Ambiente
English (Traducir este texto en Español): I have never seen this spot crowded because it rarely breaks and is tough to access. Its an easy wave with a long point-break type left and a shorter, more hollow right bowl that only breaks when its 6ft. plus. Theres no localism at all making it a very enjoyable spot to surf. If the Cove is breaking this spot will definatly be going off. I've surfed it by myself before and had a blast.
General
English (Traducir este texto en Español): This is a great wave to have fun surfing at without the hassle of a crowd. It rarely breaks but when it does you can surf it with nobody out but the pelicans if you time it right.

Princess St. & The Slides - Thank you for the additional information on these spots-Princess Street and The Slides are in Bank Wright's book Surfing California way back from 1973; sometimes this book can be inacccurate I'm surprised the author has not revised this book.

Slides - The inside right is called "Pablo's". The left is called "Pussy Plateau". "Princess St" is fun longboard right at other side of bay. Yes, only really works a few times a year and you gotta know when to go. Doesn't matter anyway, cuz PK and Brewer will be out getting all of the good ones. Good Luck!

- when it breaks it is zooed with all the snakey windansea grommets who are 2 afraid to surf a real wave when the surf is good.
