English (Traducir este texto en Español): Go north on Highway 1 past Greyhound Rock. On left hand side of the highway is an old iron gate. The place usually has some cars around filled with either surfers or model glider plane enthusiasts. If you hit Wadell Creek you have gone too far. The path down is fairly obvious. English (Traducir este texto en Español): There are three individual peaks to choose from. I think that the middle peak is best, but the northern peak breaks longer. Paddles out on bigger days can be a bitch. Current tends to push you back into the pit. Also, try to hit it early. More than a couple of breaths of wind and your outta luck.
Ambiente
English (Traducir este texto en Español): Spot has become a bit more crowded and thus a bit more full of vibe in the last 10 years. Guys often try to through around the stink eye by the cars, but the scene is mostly harmless.
General
English (Traducir este texto en Español): When this place goes off, and it does fairly regularly, it is a great wave. Lots of fat tubes on bigger days and open space for performance on the smaller days.

When my friend Ken drove up here on an Indian summer fall of 81, neither of us expected it to make my personal best 10 all-time days of surfing... - Ken told me not to expect much as we'd headed NB for a mid-day's spot check, after our so-so morning session at Pleasure's had ended, but winds stayed calm until we got to Waddell's. With only a half-dozen guys out it was OH & clean so we paddled out. This spot easily made it into history as 1 of my 10 best; due to a rare combo of wind, swell, & tide. It didn't blow out even after we'd rubber-armed it for a hefty 2 12 hrs. Simply unforgettable...

actually, there have been shark attacks... - There is one documented attack on a surfer at this spot. It occurred in 1999, and you can read about it the reference book "shark attacks on the west coast of north america" among other places on the web. Further, there was a serious mauling that occurred only a few miles south of here, and several documented attacks at Davenport to the south, as well as the well known population at Ano nuevo to the North. No reason not to surf the area, but it is not true to say there are no documented shark attacks. Have fun, and don't be dinner
