magic sands... - ...or as some locals call it-Tragic Slams. this is a seriously vicious shore breaking wave...tons of fun for bodysurfers who know when to bail but we also see an ambulance a week in the winter...never go straight mr. kook tourist on his whamo boogieboard. giving hospital directions to your weeping wife or girl is a bummer.

This Surf is Called Point - Point is just left of Magics and is a pretty cherry break. Make sure you get out quick or you will get slamed on the rocks and meet up with choke vana. This wave is pretty tough to get on early and has a steep face that kinda throws ya off da top and thats when you know ur on. Make sure you give yer self enough time to get out though.

Magic Sands - I lived in the area for 2 years back in the early nineties. I believe the break is called magic sands because of the park. The surfable wave is just south of the park and is not crowded because the wave pretty much regulates itself. On strong souths, the wave is an absolutely smoking right for experts only. Hollow barreling and just plain dangerous if you dont come out of the tube and get out of the wave. I saw my friend pull in to the tube make it all the way across only to be tossed up on to the rock shelf that lines the beach. I thought he was going to die. Leave it alone unless you can surf well in the tube.
