This Place Rocks! Three Times a Year Maybe - I say that in jest. It can be fun whenever the West is on. But usually small since it is somewhat protected on one side by the cemetary jetty and the other side (toward Makaha) by the manmade boat harbor. When the azimuth is right on shore though. This place can be awesome. I'd say it happens about 3 times per year with 10 foot plus faces. I find it best when the far outside is breaking - you have to paddle out to the harbor entrance (watch out for boats - my buddy lost a toe to a prop by a drunk in a boat) and catch rights. Face value is every bit 10 to 12 feet with a few bigger sets. That is "Hawaiian" 1-2 feet by the way. Inside is OK but always crowded on big days. The big outside wave reforms again on the inside twice before hitting shore.

March any good? - I will be in the area for two weeks in March and I am considering staying that PARC. Any decent swell on this end of the island in March? I have reservations else where but would divide my time if the waves are decent.
