English (Traducir este texto en Español): It's a shallow sandbar with some giant rocks underneath setup about 1/4 of a mile out. It's a long left that peels for about 100-150 yards on an average monster Hole Day (4-6') and at 8'++ it reels for 200+ yards.Big sharks even bigger hole between the sandbar/rocks and the beach. No for begginers, more for the advanced intermediate, and the Experts.for unexperienced surfers, do not surf on a good or big day. many rip tides, currents, sharks and remember this is probably the most powerful wave on the east coast when working.
Ambiente
English (Traducir este texto en Español): monster hole is a part of sebastian inlet. it breaks out very far on the south side on a bigger, cleaner swell which is very fickle for this area, so not many out-of-towners know about it.
General
English (Traducir este texto en Español): this is my favorite spot in florida. it is probably one of the longest lefts on the coast when there is a big swell.(i also live 1-2 miles north of the inlet.)

Monster Hole - Big sharks - Do not attempt to surf this break unless you have a rescue boat. There are big tiger and bull sharks there because of the inlet...the same reason it is some of the best fishing in Florida is the same reason the sharks feed right there at Monster Hole. Currents are very strong due to the tide fluctuation of the inlet. This spot is dangerous dangerous dangerous.

Fickle but great - I took a good 30 trips on big swells b/f i ever caught monster hole but it is well worth it. I am a north florida local and it is worth the drive if it is on. The first time i caught it it was solid 8-10ft faces with light offshore winds huge barrels and the longest rides i have ever surfed in florida. Well worth the 20 or 25minute paddle to get all the way out there. The inlet had about 200 people surfing but monster hole only had about 20 and the rides were so long it seemed like less than that. O ya Watch out for the sharks though.

World class wave - Long pealing lefts.Fast powerful cloudbreak style wave.Surfed it today 5ft+ 100 yard lefts with clean clear water, only 4 guys out.Sounds like 5 stars to me Florida or anywhere.I lived in HB,cali for 5years and yes its more consistent and gets bigger. Its also super crowded, cold, nasty shit brown water. If you have the privilege to surf Monster Hole you will respect this place.Sharks are all over Florida, so who cares where you surf.If your scared of sharks you better find a new sport.
