If you need any surf gear(ie. boards, wax, leash pad, clothes, paddleboard rentals etc.) stop by "Groove surf and skate" on the way. After following Dania beach blvd.to the bridge,go over it but in the middle make a right turn into the Dania beach parking lot. At the end of the lot you will reach the pier. English (Traducir este texto en Español): The fisherman are a*sholes, they will cast big weights at you so watch out. If anything go talk to them nicely and don't pick a fight, you'll make things worse. If all else fails use "self-defense" or tell the lifeguard and they will kick them off the beach. I haven't had any problems with sharks nor have I ever heard of any, but they are there (mostly spinners and nurse sharks, but you will see some scary bull sharks from the inlet and some reef sharks.), don't be scared but heed with caution because they can still bite the s*it out of you.

English (Traducir este texto en Español): Fun spot for every surfer, no tough surf crowd but douche fisherman. Be respectful (especially if it's not your local break) and have fun.
Also, support your local shop by going to Groove surf and skate down the road on Dania beach blvd., 601 east Dania beach blvd.
General
English (Traducir este texto en Español): Dania pier has some good days and some bad. It's very hard to predict the way it breaks because of the sandbar's shifting, but most likely it will be fun. I've seen it wedge, be a one direction wave, be A-frame, barrel hard, mush out, you name it. Go enjoy the ocean.

question about Dania beach - is Dania beach a good place to ride short a board?it seems flatering for skiming n longboarding but is ther a good tym to ride short ther..if ther isnt is ther anywere nearby that a good spot..does jhony loyd have a significant diference..id hate to have to keep spending 4 gas

Dania Beach - When surfing Dania Pier or North Hollywood Bch. aka."HOUSES" check out the new surf shop on Dania Beach Blvd. Surf World. Houses breaks good on a winter cold front, usually waist to stomach clean lines, lefts most of the time. Parking sucks unless you want to pay at Dania pier's parking lot and walk a little ways. If there is no rideable surf, alot of locals are into skim boarding...especially by the Pier.

get- it straight, ! - this spot is in south fl. not north fl. and it sucksthe beach is full of fags, holding hands ,and waring bannana slings !! its NASTY.
