Maricá is a very extensive town, with a small population. In the Amaral Peixoto highway, Lake Region direction, pass de portal entrance of Maricá (red and blue, corossing the highway, very strange...rsss). After a few km, note the "PONTA NEGRA" entrance, near a gas establishment. Right side.... English (Traducir este texto en Español): I think this is a great spot, it is not the best, but it is fun, specially if you are a beginner.. the coolest thing is that you are close to many other beaches that you can find yourself same pretty good waves (Pipa, Artistas, Tabatinga)

Yeah! - Ponta Negra IS DOpe!I'm an exchange student living in Natal for a year. I'm still in the process of learning how to surf. But let me tell you that: Ponta Negra ROCKS!!!Peace

Ponta Negra - RJ - Do not confuse Ponta Negra located in Maricá, Rio de Janeiro State with Ponta Negra in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte State. Ponta Negra in Natal is a beach with low wave. Ponta Negra in Maricá is a beach with high waves.
The distance between both beaches is about 3000 Km (2000 miles).
