You can park in town on the street or there are now 2 large parking lots right off the highway, 1 north and 1 south of town. Wave is fun but powerful and it is really good for beginners (mid tide) and advanced surfers (high tide), you can surf it when the point is sloppy

This place has grown a lot in recent years and shows no sign of slowing down. Its not a sleepy/rustic beach town anymore, head to Canoa for that. There is literally a hundred places to stay now all over town and at least that many places to eat. Stay in the center of town for instant access to everything but get away from the center for more peace and quiet. On weekends and holidays, its impossible to sleep in the center of town due to the thumping music. You can party here in the center of town or head away from town for peace and quiet. The hotels to the north along the beach are peaceful and quiet and right in front of the best surfing and away from the swimming crowd (they tend to swim right in the center of town).
