- Rocas
English (Traducir este texto en Español): nlike Cabo Blanco, this wave works with S or SW swells and in the winter months (jul-sep). The same sand bottom which makes Panic work moves north with the south swells and forms the sand bottom at Cabo Blanco, which starts to break properly in the summer months (oct-jan), with the N or NW swells. Be careful with the big rock that follows the drop or tube (if you make it).
Ambiente
English (Traducir este texto en Español): Since this spot is dominated by local fulltime watermen, respect is what you must show here, and of course, really good tuberiding skills. This wave is really hollow and his tube could easily be compared to that one of G-Land. It breaks from 2 to 4 meters..The Climate is tropical and dry, and there are short rainfalls in between november and march
General
English (Traducir este texto en Español): This is one of the most perfect waves in Perú, not too much surfers ride it, but the ones that do, ride it all day long when there's a swell. For many people this is the best tube in Peru. For sure I think it is one of the 5 most powerful, hollow, tubular, perfect, epic waves in Peru.

panic is a ramp - Bodyboarding is not big in Peru, we got some who surf very well, but our major shit is surfing. although there are some really cool waves of guys like Boris Salas doing drop-knee in Cabo nice. You'll find bigger herds of bodyboarders around Lima. Still since you are south africans i think you will have lots of fun in panic, nice for high airs, it is a natural ramp.

Don't Panic, I'm Hispanic! - Anyone surfing northern Perú in May or June? I'll be up there alone but hope to meet up with with some chill heads. I'm staying at hostals in Chicama, Pacasmayo, and Mancora. The more people I can find the cheaper the car rentals/taxis to go out to Panic Point, El Hueco/Lobitos, and Poemape. Contact andresfresquez@yahoo.com. I speak Spanish. Peace.
