This is a beach break and is affected by shifting banks. But when the banks are good, it can be really good. Both lefts and rights, barrels, A-frame waves, it just depends on the banks.

There is also a left hand reef break to the south of the beach. This can hold big swells. It is a fairly hard core wave, and is worth checking out when the swell is over 5 foot on the beach. I've heard it can handle over 10 foot, but I've never seen it this big. It breaks over rocks and can produce a long left hand wall with barreling sections. You have to walk around the rocks and jump off the rocks in betweem the sets.
